Medical Assistant Program

This three-part certificate program includes 120 hours of clinical externship and 144 hours of classroom and laboratory training. In a clinical health care setting, the program prepares students for both clinical and administrative roles. They will be in charge of doing small medical/surgical procedures, aseptically measuring vital signs, administering drugs, performing EKGs, collecting blood and urine samples, and other basic laboratory tests, among other things.
Phlebotonomy Technician Program

This 180-hour curriculum is designed to enable students to work as phlebotomy technicians and pass the certification exam. The course consists of 60 classroom and laboratory hours, as well as 120 hours of clinical externship. The anatomy and physiology of the circulatory system and other body systems are reviewed, as well as important practice and background information. Medical terminology, disease processes, as well as the ethical and legal implications of patient contact, are covered. In addition, students will practice hands-on skills such as learning how to handle various needles, tubes, and other specimen collection devices and how to utilize them properly.
Pharmacy Technician Program

Fee: $1,500 (includes $450 down payment plus a nonrefundable $50 application fee)
Pharmacy technicians are the liaisons between medical professionals, doctors, pharmacists, insurance companies and patients.
You’ll gain hands-on experience taking courses in our real-world labs in the first semester. As a certified pharmacy technician you will:
-prepare a greater variety of medications, such as IV medications
-compound or mix some medications
-interact with physicians on prescription refill authorizations
-operate automated dispensing equipment when filling prescription orders
-make rounds in hospitals, giving medications to patients
